Six unpopular truths about law school?

    in Q&A

Six unpopular truths about law school things they don't really tell you but you might have a vague idea but no one's really told you the nitty gritties it's a lot of reading and it's an unrealistic amount of reading especially if you do undergrad oh my god studying at LSE the reading list is designed for you to not finish it they will give you a century and they'll give you further meetings and then you really can have further further readings like just for background you know just if you have spare time if you just want to read a hundred page bottom it's like they forget that there are so many other making modules like I'm not just thinking at all I'm not just studying this module I have like 500 more just focus you learn how to read really really quickly I had to go to a class to learn how to read they taught me that control-f is my best friend no one reads the whole article no one read the whole book anyone that tells you they do is a liar they don't do that they look for the most relevant but in some subjects are very dry I'm sorry I'm gonna trigger a few people who singing laughing you know but no that wasn't my friend me you look well really a good term so like the whole year there are some cities that you love there are some black-letter courses and then there are some wishy-washy courses I like having a middle ground so contract law assignment help UK is very much blacker to law it's all about legislation but criminal always a bit of both its opinions its policy argument you learn it in the context of the world and what's going on the medical law is one that's got like a really good balance as well between ethics and a bit of philosophy and science but also legislation law and current practices of course like public international law is all the way all the way on the right on the left whatever it is on the other side of the spectrum public international law is wishy-washy it's basically international relations from the legal perspective it's international legal relations you will not be learning any law because you realize that no one knows what's going on in the world and countries do whatever the hell they want to do and there is no ethics that they tell you there's no but in some countries are always breaking the law always breaking the UN regulation motivation if you want a structured core that's not something you should study you're learning about what's going on at the same time so like I was learning about regs it in public international law there are dry subjects and there are very interesting subjects and it depends on you what you're gonna like you hardly get to argue I know it's gonna sound so upsetting to a lot of you that love looking for trouble I was upset you don't get to argue you don't get to just pick a fight for no reason you know you don't just get to do that for fun for sport in law because actually you've got a lot of reading to do you're gonna get opportunities to moot and especially if you go to LSE that's part of like the Law Society stuff going on but also we have to do presentations maybe go somewhere like Oxford you have to do a few more MOOCs that is actually Michael assessed so yeah there's some universe is that really good for that but you don't really get to argue that much you must lead abate like the rules debate oh why do you think the rationale this was what's the problem of doing things this way get on to baiting topics should cancel punishment be a theme that's thought you're gonna be debating you know and so I'm sorry to bring I'm sorry to rate your doing that's not what you're gonna be doing explaining things is really hard in law you might know what's going on in your head but actually you need to be able to get it across in a concise manner a lot of time we read articles and books these guys say the same thing like ten times I say they say in different ways even in my poverty law lecture this time we literally say the sky is blue so therefore what we understand from this is that blue is the sky if you can write an essay that is actually like really really like easy to understand in simple language then you've probably done better than some of us using like extra complex jogger boys already complex already so there's no need to like to make it work you will disagree with a lot of what you read and if you are allowed to I'm telling you this I'll give me permission you're allowed to all these professors and lecturers but like they say stuff that you might not think makes sense it's cuz it doesn't make sense it's cuz it doesn't it's literary because it doesn't get marked on original store and it's really hard to be original because you're not I only want to think of an original thought if you think about it journals can be peer-reviewed journals can be assessed people can have so much experience in their field of why they say something that's just not agreeable you're allowed to disagree what we say and so if you're reading something and it's just really annoying you this guy's he's argument doesn't make any sense it's because he probably doesn't make any sense it doesn't really make you a lawyer it doesn't make you a lawyer studying law because you're learning things for theory and if you wanna practice law especially the UK an undergraduate degree can make koala crying no degree but is to have to do you know school after and then you have to train and thing it's on the five for instance you'll get commercial because kinds don't need you to tell you them something that they can just google is it a sin to it must see oh my god what the hell oh I just said scene is it a crime is what I mean is it a crime for you to do business with a client who has been involved in bribery if you want to find that out like you can find that out by googling but if you want to know like the answers are very complex commercial situation and guidance through an entire project that's something a commercial and would be really good doing be doing learn these skills in law school so I think for me I genuinely wanted to study law it wasn't cuz I wanted to become a lawyer so for me I chose them because I love the theory of your gosh I love I love those too much I love understanding the motives for like why we have laws why the world is the way did what drives people I'm gonna understand links between so different things I want to understand the link between psychology and law and economics and law and politics and law all these subjects literally interlink and that's why I really love Law Essay Writers because they gave me the opportunity to learn law I
